VDO Cockpit International Series

Cockpit International is the classic VDO analogue range and the usual like-for-like replacement for an older VDO gauge. Gauges read a resistive sender or, on the mechanical models, a pipe or capillary straight from the engine, so they need no data network. Each electrical gauge is built for one system voltage, 12 V or 24 V, which is the first thing to check against the old part number.

The series on this page covers 52 mm gauges for oil pressure, coolant and oil temperature, fuel level, voltage, current and engine hours, 80 mm and 100 mm tachometers, a 52 mm clock, and mechanical pressure, vacuum and capillary temperature gauges. Fuel gauges are listed for both the 3-180 ohm lever standard and the 90-3 ohm tubular standard.

Bezels are separate parts, so a cracked or faded bezel is replaced without touching the gauge. They come in triangle black and triangular chrome in 52, 80 and 100 mm. Spin-ring brackets, globe holders, the 3-way connector plug and pointer stop pins are listed here as well. When replacing a gauge, the VDO part number on the back gives the exact match.
